It takes a village to raise a child in the way he should go so that when he is older he will remember.

Village Volunteers

Natasha Brown

Event Committee Chair
I joined Raise a Child because am passionate about volunteering and giving back. My ultimate goal is to play a part in impacting and inspiring our youth through The RACC's curriculum and many events throughout the community. We live in a world that is constantly evolving. Being exposed to a wide range of enrichment programs shouldn’t be a privilege, it should be the norm.

Showtime Training Group

Health & Fitness Instructors
Showtime Training Group outreach programs include, the “Healthy YOUth” afterschool and summer camp programs. They aim to keep the youth of our community active and healthy by providing themed, age appropriate activities that teach the importance of physical, mental and emotional health, all while having fun!

Sasi Vedaiyan

Program Committee Chair
Sasi Vedaiyan grew up in Raleigh, NC and  graduated from University of North Carolina at Charlotte.   She now works as a Controls Engineer.  In her spare time, she enjoys tutoring and mentoring, traveling, and spending time with her dog.  Sasi is driven by RACC’s mission to expose youth to the opportunities that are necessary for them to reach their full potential.   "Children are our future, and we want to provide them with support while inspiring them to follow their dreams."

Rose Taylor

Camp Director

Lena Pryor

Grandma Lena Pryor pretty much does whatever she wants and none of us will tell her otherwise.  She's a teacher, cook, and all around caregiver. She plays games, monitors activities, and keep the kids in line. Her sole purpose is to spoil the kids, and make sure they get lots of hugs.

Shaniqua Wade

Compliance Coordinator

Joi Loveless

Volunteer Coordinator Intern
